Limited Lifetime Warranty

Including 5 Years Cover on Electrical Components

RED Winches Ltd (“Seller”) warrants to the original retail purchaser (“Buyer”) that any mechanical component of a genuine RED Winches Ltd product (“Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the winch.

The electrical components (including the motor, contactor, and switches) are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for seven (5) years (60 months) from the original, provable date of purchase.

Any Product that RED Winches Ltd determines to be defective will be repaired or replaced, at the sole discretion of RED Winches Ltd, without charge to the Buyer, provided the Buyer follows the warranty procedure detailed below.

RED Winches Ltd, or its authorised agent, may apply reasonable charges for parts or labour where repairs fall outside the terms of this Limited Lifetime Warranty. The warranties stated herein are exclusive and are given in place of all other warranties, whether oral or written, express or implied.

This warranty applies to the product not the original purchaser. However proof of purchase (such as a sales receipt) is required to obtain warranty service along with product registration. The warranty does not cover removal or reinstallation of the Product. RED Winches Ltd will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective Product or component once it has been returned, within the warranty period, to an authorised service centre or directly to RED Winches Ltd.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

To obtain service under this warranty, the Buyer must send, deliver, or arrange shipping, at the Buyer’s expense, to the address listed below:

1. The Product in its original packaging
2. A written description of the issue, how it is happening and situation
3. Buyer’s name, address, email address, and contact number
4. A copy of the original purchase receipt
5. A copy of the winch service record detailing the Product’s service history

The warranty does not cover labour or shipping costs associated with removing, installing, or transporting replacement parts. 

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not apply to defects caused by:

1. Normal wear and tear
2. Failure to follow installation or maintenance instructions, including operating the Product beyond the loads specified in any Owner’s Manual or on the Seller’s website
3. Failure to follow the RED Winches service schedule
4. Commercial or industrial use
5. Alteration or modification by anyone other than the Seller
6. Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, Acts of God, terrorism
7. Any cause beyond the control of the Seller after delivery to the authorised agent

This warranty does not cover cables, synthetic ropes, fairleads, or exterior finishes.

RED Winches Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, or downtime.

RED Winches Ltd reserves the right to change Product design without notice and may replace parts or units with updated versions of the same function. There is no obligation to upgrade previously manufactured units.

This warranty is void if any RED Winches Ltd serial number or manufacturer date code has been removed or defaced.
