COBRA Twin Motor Upgrade Kit
This kit is for the COBRA2 and COBRA3 winches fitted with an XL drum to add an additional motor to convert it into a twin motor winch.
This kit contains everything you need to add the extra Ox motor “up the bum” of your existing Ox motor on your COBRA2/3 XL and saves over 20% on buying the parts individually.

In 2023 RED Winches made changes to the rear of the armature shaft on our Ox motors and added a hex drive to the shaft in preparation for the twin motor conversion. As not all Ox motors have this shaft please check your current motors to see if you have the hex. This can be done by removing the rear cover and making a visual inspection.
If your motor does not have this hex then you will need to replace your front motors as well.
Important Notes;
- If using this kit on another brand of winch you will need to provide a support for the motors.
- The bus bars and covers will only work with the DC182 series Ultimate Solenoids.
- For your cables we recommend running 1 x 70mm2 power cable and 1 x 70mm2 negative cable as a minimum from your winch to your batteries.
- For power batteries we recommend using Qty 2 Odyssey PC1750 batteries or equivalent specification batteries.
