The Drum is sealed with high-quality seals at both ends, making the winch fully watertight and capable of operating underwater. Behind these seals, the drum bearings are equipped with free-running ball bearings that are packed with waterproof grease

The King Cobra utilises a cascade-style gearbox to transmit the power from the motor down to the drive shaft. The gears are manufactured from chromium molybdenum steel and case hardened to give maximum strength (Up to 1230 N/mm2) and excellent durability. The gearbox runs in semi-liquid grease, not oil, making it much easier to service.
