Extend Your Reach: High-Strength Winch Line Extensions

When the nearest anchor point is just out of reach, a RED Winches Line Extension is the essential addition to your recovery kit. Engineered from premium 12-strand UHMWPE synthetic fibre, our extensions provide the extra length needed for complex winch recoveries without the weight or danger of steel cable.

Our extensions are 8x lighter than steel wire, float on water, and have zero water shrinkage. Each line is professionally spliced in our UK workshop and features a protective polyurethane coating for maximum abrasion resistance against grit, sand, and rocks.

Price range: £75.00 through £300.00 ex. VAT

The ideal rope to carry as a rope extension/spare winch rope. Spliced in our UK factory with soft loops at both ends as standard, that are sized to fit an S-RING-60. If you require larger loops, please let us know at the time of ordering.

N.B. Knots will significantly reduce the strength of any rope. This product will typically retain approximately 30% of its strength if terminated with a knot. The exact figure will depend on the type of knot and other factors.

What length do I choose?

Choosing the Right Winch Line Extension

We offer a range of lengths and diameters to suit every recovery scenario, from greenlaning to professional heavy-duty recovery.

  • 10m Extension: Perfect for most UK greenlaning, where anchor points (trees) are relatively frequent.

  • 15m – 20m Extension: Ideal for open terrain, beach driving, or moorlands where the nearest solid anchor may be a significant distance away.

Maintenance Tip: To ensure a long lifespan, always wash your synthetic extension with clean water after use in muddy or salty conditions to remove abrasive particles from the 12-strand weave.
