Upgrade your recovery system with our high-performance Synthetic Winch Ropes. Manufactured from premium UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), our ropes are 8x lighter than steel wire without compromising on strength.
Each rope is spliced in-house at our UK facility, featuring a 12-strand braided construction for superior abrasion resistance and easier handling. Whether you need a replacement rope for an ATV or a heavy-duty line for commercial recovery, our range offers zero water shrinkage and maximum UV resistance.

The ideal rope to use with your RED Winch. All of our ropes are spliced in our UK workshop from the reel. If you need a size that is not listed, please contact us. Next-day delivery available.
N.B. Knots will significantly reduce the strength of any rope. This product will typically retain approximately 30% of its strength if terminated with a knot. The exact figure will depend on the type of knot and other factors.
Which rope should I choose?
How to Select the Right Synthetic Winch Rope
When choosing a rope, we recommend a 2:1 safety factor. This means the rope’s minimum breaking strength should be at least twice your winch’s maximum pulling capacity.
6mm – 8mm Ropes: Ideal for ATVs, UTVs, and small trailers.
11mm – 12mm Ropes: The standard choice for 4x4s like the Land Rover Defender or Toyota Hilux (rated up to 13,970kg).
14mm+ Ropes: Heavy-duty lines for commercial towing, military applications, and extreme competition winching.
Why UHMWPE?
Our ropes use a specialised polyurethane coating to increase friction and durability. Unlike steel, synthetic rope does not store dangerous energy under tension, making it the safest choice for off-road recoveries.
