Complete Air-Brake & Freespool Control Integration for King Cobra Winches
The RED Winches Winch Control Assembly (KC-WA-01) is the dedicated wiring loom assembly engineered specifically for the King Cobra single-motor competition winch. Designed to integrate air-brake release, pneumatic freespool activation, and motor directional control into one clean unit, this pre-terminated assembly eliminates complex wiring diagrams and custom relay looms.
Manufactured in the UK using high-specification automotive-grade wiring, sealed connectors, and oil/heat-resistant conduit, the KC-WA-01 bridges your in-cab switches, wireless receiver, Albright contactor, and pneumatic solenoid valves. When winching in or out, it automatically triggers the air brake release valve to ensure immediate drum unlock with zero motor drag, while providing smooth, independent control of the pneumatic freespool mechanism.

Air solenoid assembly for controlling a single motor air-braked and air freespool winch.
With a winch that has an air brake and air freespool, it needs two air solenoids to control the functions. Historically, the solenoid for the brake was mounted on the winch, and the owner had to find a location for the air freespool solenoid.
To simplify installation and wiring, the King Cobra is now supplied with this solenoid assembly, but it can be retrofitted to ATOM1, ATOM2, COBRA1, COBRA2, COBRA3 and VIPER.
One constant air supply into the unit. Two outputs to the air brake and the air freespool with 6mm push fittings.
Incorporating the motor control loom with three flag terminals for connecting to the Albright motor control solenoid.
Fitted with four pin socket to accept the CBL-01 Winch control cable assembly.
When positioning this assembly, the air line between the solenoid assembly and the air brake should be no longer than 500mm / 20″
